A year in the life of St. Mary Magdalen, Sheet

2004 - 2005

Flower Arrangers:
Christine Greethead (retired coordinator)

At the time of writing, regrettably, we still do not have a new coordinator for the team. Although the rota spaces are gradually being filled, the greatest need is for someone to oversee the festivals, and it is hoped that there is someone willing to undertake this job for Easter, Harvest and Christmas. You do not need to be a Flower Arranger to do this! It’s such a very rewarding and extremely satisfying task, and the results are always much enjoyed and appreciated by all who attend St Mary’s.

It was nice to have Sandy Ingram’s help at the Festival last year, and any one new will be a welcome addition to the team.

Team:
Anne Allchurch, Judy Barrow, Heather Belton, Heather Bird, Hilary Bonney, June Brooks, Gill Clarke, Edith Daubney, Christine Greethead, Jenny Harrison, Sandy Ingram, Shirley Kail, Marguerite McGuire, Joy Martin, Joy Rodgers, Anne Randall, Ruth Snelson, Mavis Snowdon, Eleanor Stanley, Sue Stanley, Janet White.

The Church Noticeboards/Pigeonholes:
Heather Bird

The possibility of a new notice board better suited to our needs has been requested and awaits approval by the PCC. Once again a plea for A5 rather than A4 notices and not laminated unless long term or for outside.

Please remember to check the alphabetical pigeonholes more frequently. Outdated rotas etc are piling up, 5-6 months worth in some cases, and Christmas card in July! When putting out material please, if it is necessary to use an envelope, do not stick it down. Sealed envelopes are the object of attack for vandals.

Lastly, thank you to Verity, her artistic talents are displayed to great effect on the two outside boards.
