St. Mary Magdalen Cycle of Prayer

As a church community you are invited to hold people and concerns in your prayers, on each day of the month.

Lord, I hold in my prayer today:
DAY 
1Our clergy; Anderson, Doug, Mick and Felicity,
2Our Lay Minister, Linda;
3Our Churchwardens, Parish Administrator and committee chairman;
4All who live in the Durford Road area. All who work at Penns Place. All who use the Taro Leisure Centre and Durford Road shop;
5Our Vergers. All who clean and maintain the church, the flower arrangers, the gardeners, and the clock winders;
6All members of the PCC (Parochial Church Council), Deanery Synod and Diocesan Synod;
7Those who feel disappointed or "let down" by the church. Those who feel hurt, damaged or alienated by the church.
Those within the church who see only the negative and fail to witness to the positive aspects of church life;
8Our Lay Pastoral Assistants – Margaret Glenny, Ruth Markby, Julie Slade, Adrienne Spiers, Joan Wearn.
All who take Communion to the Sick;
9All who live in the Tilmore area;
10SMOFs, their leaders;
11For PACT – Chairperson, Coordinating Committee & PACT Church Representatives.
The PACT Fraternal and the other churches in the Petersfield Area;
12Kids' Church, leaders, children and helpers. The Creche and helpers. All young families;
13SMART (St Mary’s Activities for Rising Teens) and Amanda, our Children and Families worker.
14The Education & Discipleship Group, and all who teach in our church, leaders of Home Groups, the Prayer Circle and all prayer cells;
15All who live on Herne Farm. Herne Junior School.
All who work at & use the Leisure Centre and Herne Farm Co-Operative Food;
16Those who have contact with St. Mary Magdalen through a funeral, baptism or wedding.
Baptism Supporters, the Welcome Team and for all of us welcoming newcomers into the church;
17For the life of the church. Those in our church family who feel alone.
The after church refreshment team and all who arrange social events;
18All who live in the Ramshill area, Ramshill Service Station, Churcher's College, the staff and pupils;
19 The Nursing/Residential homes in our Parish: Bulmer House, Downs House, Steep House, and the two Day Centres.
All those who live in Ramscote.
20Our organist, Choir Leader and choir, our Music / Worship Groups and singers, our hymn choosing team;
21All who live in the Pulens Lane area.
22The sick. All involved in the Healing ministry. The Chaplaincy team. Petersfield Hospital Chaplain - Peter Norris;
23The Worship committee. All involved in planning our liturgy and worship, including the All Age Service & Young Family Service planning teams. Intercessors and Scripture readers.
Those who administer the chalice at Communion. Our servers and sacristy team;
24The Fabric Committee and the Friends to Sheet Church.
25The Mission & Outreach Group.
For the organisations we support;
Our links with other parishes, particularly St James Elmina in Ghana;
26Group clergy and Readers and all members of the Group Council.
The Rock Editorial team and Rock distributors;
27All who live in and near Sheet Village. Sheet School. All who use the Village Hall, the Queen’s Head and the Half Moon. Those who put together and distribute Sheet Village News;
28The Kings Arms, Butser Homestart, Petersfield Counselling Service, Petersfield Housing Association, Petersfield Voluntary Care Group and other organisations and their volunteers working with people in and around Petersfield;
29Our local Play groups, Day Nursery and Toddler groups. Our outreach to families;
30All attending St Mary Magdalen who live outside the parish;
31Give thanks for the gifts & talents we have among us and for all who share God's love in the community day by day.
