I am a Hampshire lad, born and mostly brought up in the New Forest where most of my family still live. I studied History in Bristol, taught history in a Secondary School in the West Midlands and trained for ordained ministry at Ridley Hall in Cambridge before serving my curacy in Gosport. I have been Vicar of St Mary Magdalen since 2003.
I am married to Verity and we have two daughters, Elizabeth who was born in 2002 and Esther who was born in 2009.
My passion is for seeing God at work in the community through the lives of ordinary men and women who are seeking to follow Jesus. I get excited about the Bible and about Christians working out together what it means to become the people God wants us to be.
