A year in the life of St. Mary Magdalen, Sheet

This worship committee has met four times this year under the chairmanship of Rob (who has also provided hospitality). We are pleased that Jenny Parkes has recently joined us.

Regular items on the agenda this year have been the trial use of hymn sheets instead of hymn books at main services, together with the possible purchase of a data projector. Use of a projector has been trialled at Youth and Young Family services with great success.

The committee also recommended this year the replacement of Evening Prayer with the ‘A Time to Pray’ slot on Sunday evenings.

At each meeting the following services are always discussed: -

Family Services	Young Family Services	Laying on of Hands
Prayer, Praise and Worship	8am Communion	Matins
Wednesday mornings	A Time to Pray

Any issues regarding Intercessors, Scripture Readers, Sacristy and Servers are also discussed.

The services at the main festivals such as Easter and Christmas are also regularly reviewed and discussed.
