During the year, as a result of a suggestion from Rob, the old Mission Committee agreed to be renamed the Outreach Group and the terms of reference were revised.

The purpose of the new Group is to promote a better awareness of the Church as a sign of God's presence and love in the community, to foster links with other churches, and to actively encourage and support individuals and organisations working in mission both home and overseas, including the distribution of gifts.

In line with this, over £12,000 of parish giving was allocated to Mission and during the year the following were organised.

1. Drawing Sheet,
2. Carol singing on Ramshill Estate,
3. Traidcraft Stalls. (St Mary's now has Fair Trade Church Status),
4. Pancake Party,
5. Passover Suppers.

This year all new residence on the new Ramshill Estate, will be invited to drop in for tea and sandwiches at the Community Centre - no strings attached.
